I require full blackberry support. After promising the community that blackberry support would be implemented in an upcoming release of QMAT, we are now being told that Qmat is dead. While this may not have been your intent, you have effectively penalyzed your entire subscribed customer base, by dropping support & development of promised features.

If Qmat is not dead - and you are only changing the name of QMAT to PSAS - please explain why this was a necessary move.

Qmat was effectively blacklisted in some antivirus products. If this is your concern, How does changing the name help?

Please... what exactly you missing?

QMAT / PSAS and all prior Versions are universal Tools... So 0 support of BlackBerry is impossible.

We are not able to deliver 1 click Tools...

User need minimum will and knowledge.

Support us with Details like this...

Code:
I have tested this and this and this...
This works.
This not.

I want this... [b]please[/b]...

Otherwise we loooooooooooose toooooo many time. If BlackBerry user can't report or request...

You can tell us your progress.

Viper is NOT lazy. He is busy to improve his product.

If you find better BlackBerry support elsewhere... feel free to choose this.

Best Regards

We never dropped any of our support requests or development of any promised feature, and I wonder why you are saying that.

In fact QMAT 5.06 already supports Blackberry, if it is a QC chipset Phone.
You only need to use BB Device Manager to enable QC Diag Interface.

We won't ever support any non-QC Blackberries as QMAT/PSAS never was intended to support all phone chipsets on the market. PXA ones have no diag functions at all, thus you will need to access the mobile via Java commands (for this there are already other third company tools available). Maybe we would if we were more programmers over here, but just as adfree said, we are really busy right now with adding new features and improvements. Also some functions are only available at driver core for which we would need to build our own BB driver (for which we simply have no time right now).

I've got an BB 9500 and QMAT works quite fine with it. PSAS will even add a BB Generator (working for all BB though) to enable Fieldtest Mode.

We do not only change the name from QMAT to PSAS. Several reasons forced us to change name, functionality and protection, some of them were webpage hacks, software cracks and new customers who need specific forensic functions which are only allowed to be introduced for governmental use.

PSAS will be a much more improved and stable successor of QMAT, which is then also able to run in virtualized workstations. Also we will introduce roadmaps and support tickets for our customers (not only for bugs but also feature requests).

Regarding Antivirus problems ... we are only aware of NOD32 and AVG having issues with our protections (QMAT and PSAS), but this is only due to a lack of reactions of these av-companys. QMAT and PSAS to be downloaded at http://revskills.de is as usual totally virusfree.

Cya,

Viper BJK

QMAT does not support most CDMA blackberrys. We have been asking for full support for close to a year. Although some functions of QMAT may work with a blackberry, these are limited to some of the trivial functions that have always worked with unicdma, qpst, and qxdm. Even basic functions like dumping and loading device flash aren't yet supported in QMAT. Most of the features that you advertise on your home page are not supported. Furthermore, anyone who attempts to experiment with QMAT today, runs the risk of bricking their Blackberrys, with no possibility of recovery.

So far as I could see, Blackberrys will be supported in the next version of QMAT.

Update : Just ordered a Blackberry Pearl ... thus Blackberry will be supported in version 5.08

Well, first of all we are going to release 5.07 which has really a LOT of new features making life and reversing easier.

I'm not even starting to make a guess when 5.08 will be released as there is still a lot to do for the upcoming 5.07 release to make it worth being released to our customers.

---
In what version of QMAT/PSAS, and in what timeframe, will you officially support BlackBerrys?

In the interim, kindly tells us what functions work, and what functions don't work on the 9500 under 5.06.

Happy New Year!

We never said that we will offer FULL Blackberry support meaning such as offer support for every chipset. Furthermore there
was never any risk of bricking any Blackberry as we only use the official methods also used by the vendors unlike other tools you were referring to. All features advertised on our homepage actually work with the devices that are referred to at the homepage (Reading using Bootloader only works if the mobile actually uses original QC bootloaders, which Blackberry doesn't).

In fact, we are not willing to offer full Blackberry support as this device is based on Java Technology and we do only offer services for QC chipsets (just the same as QMAT always did), and those are based on ARM Technology.

If you are interested in Java Blackberry support, please buy third party tools like UFED from Cellebrite.

In PSAS we will only add QC support for all QC Blackberrys and we will also add a Fieldtest Key Generator for all Blackberrys (even non-QC ones).

Happy new year to you too,

Viper BJK

Happy New Year too.

But please...

Stopp crying.

1.
If you work with QMAT or other Tools, you EVER at your own risk.

Please. NOT use QMAT, if you are not able to repair your handset self...

2.
I NEVER seen helpfull posts from you... about BlackBerry and your progress... especially here on QMAT support forum...

Which Tools support BB full?
Or which Tools gives better support as Original Qualcomm Tools or OEM Tools?

3.
Please. Use your power + knowledge to find solution for your self... maybe you are smarter and faster to R&D FULL support of BB.

Think about it. ;)

You are welcome to support BlackBerry user.

Nobody is perfect.

Best Regards
